So a friend sent this to me.  I had to chuckle,  thought I’d share, though I feel the majority of Representatives, Senators,  and Congressman are working for Montana.  Enjoy  

A cowboy named Bud was overseeing his herd in a remote mountainous pasture in Montana when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced toward him out of a cloud of dust.  

The driver, a young man in a Brioni® suit, Gucci® shoes, RayBan® sunglasses and YSL® tie, leaned out the window and asked the cowboy, “If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?”

Bud looks at the man, who obviously is a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, “Sure, why not?” (more…)

It seems like every time I turn around there is something added to the third weekend in July here in Billings. This is good for the merchants of Billings I’m sure. Let’s see, the obvious thing that comes to mind is SummerFair, the Yellowstone Art Museum fling, this year at Veteran’s Park, suggesting a smaller affair than in the past. Still, it usually has some fairly high-class vendors;

and then there is the Big Sky State Games, which have actually been going on since last weekend and come to a climax on this coming weekend.

So once you think the eleciton cycle is over and Christmas is upon us,  leave it to the reasonable blogs to put things in perspective for us.  However, I had to laugh once you figure out where the author is going with the whole reading.  Even we at www.Montanastrailhead.com try to keep our info respectful and clean, but we digress for a punny exception.

As we were driving home from Utah this past weekend, we passed this semi. I noticed the oversize load sign and wondered why it was on there considering the actual size of this dude’s load. Then as we started passing him I just started laughing. (more…)
