Traffic Jams and Other Word Plays

DSCN2189

Traffic Jam Jam

This is the season for looking over your pantry and thinking how clever you are to have bought all those great jams and jellies at the Farmer’s Market, especially now that the Market is done for the year.

I can’t resist items with plays on words. This jam is really good. Once, some years ago I bought without opening a book from a  $1 shelf with the title “Paradigms Lost” only to discover on opening that it was almost entirely mathematical, and  thus gibberish to me. Still, it was a great title.

Saw this plate on a Hummer downtown today. I think we have the honor of the highest number of vanity plates per capita than any other state in the Union. Once I came home with the word “Sackbut” on my plates. My teenaged girls refused to drive the car.
