I was walking down Broadway a few days ago to celebrate my 70th birthday, my continued convalescence from an irritating case of diverticulitis, and because I was hungry for a little toasted cheese and soup from the Soup Place on Broadway, when I noticed that the Babcock Building on that venerable street was looking a little better than it has in some months. See the picture above.

As you can see there are some new windows at street level and some rehabbing of the 2nd floor too, at least on the exterior. I haven’t seen any of the interior yet, though I notice ads for concerts and fights in the theatre, so it must be at least partly finished. This will really be a nice addition to our downtown ambiance when it is finished.
