Annual Meeting Set for Huntley Project Museum

The Huntley Project Museum of Irrigated Agriculture is preparing for the annual meeting in June.  The one time a year event takes place at the museum and welcomes all to come and enjoy the open house before the annual meeting.  Saturday, June, 5tha at 1pm will start the annual meeting with the general membership of the community and museum.

Last month, the Board of Directors had taken many hours of preparation and review of last years fundraisers to determine the best way to activate the community in the future.  Many community members express their concern that the building is not being used enough within the community and it’s members.

Audrey Walleser, a community and board member, encourages all to visit the museum and check out the new displays that talk about the history of the Huntley Project, homesteader farms and the original Irrigation District which is one of the first irrigation districts in the country.  Says Walleser, the history, culture and stories I hear are what makes the Huntley Project a place to live and raise a family.

Come and join us for some homemade pie and ice cream says board of Directors Member Mary Knapp.  “It will be a good time to mingle with friends, associate with others and visit with community members”.

-  Election of Board Members will occur as well as a review of the By-Laws, recieve membership input and a vote or two will take place.

The Museum Center will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
