For those Montana sports fans out there, Montana isn’t known for being involved in the Little League World Series so this post reflects the good representation that the Big Sky Little League team from Billings completed yesterday in Pennsylvania with a 6-4 win over South Dakota. 

Now, I’m not one to get into little league unless I have a reason but I was amazed by how many other people were tuned in on Wednesday watching the Billings’ team play thier first opener game on ESPN.  I have to give it to the team, the boys, who are 11-12 years old, represented professionalism, character and first class sportsmanship while playing the game.  It was as exciting to watch them play than an actual Major League Baseball game.  I was impressed by the double plays, homeruns, and pitching by both teams.  I know that many in Montana will not tune in or be interested but I believe Montana has another reason to be proud of our youth and what we have to be proud of in Montana and this team is but another reason to be proud of where we are from and how they are not only representing Billings, but now Montana. Thier next game is on Sunday and we wish them the best and good luck!
