Montana Republicans can have something else to be excited about this election season.  Another young, enthusiastic, good looking, connected, and involved individual has taken the plung and jumped in head first for House Distict 44.  Bill Glaser has retired and hung his hat up after 16 years of service to the people of his district which included Huntley, Lockwood and Briarwood, Montana.  His district included suburbs of Billings, MT.  

Jonathan McNiven comes from experience at attending Arizona State University where he helped the college republicans with the 2004 Presidential Debate in Tempe, AZ between President Bush and John Kerry.  Since graduating from Arizona State University with a 4 year degree in Spanish and Biology, Jonathan returned back to Montana were he was born and raised.  Once Jonathan got established, Mr. McNiven helped out the Montana Mitt Romney campaign completing precinct calls, follow ups, and visits for the campaign.  In addition to Mr. McNiven’s adventures and after Mitt Romney dropped out of the race (after Mitt Romney had won Montana); Jonathan started helping out the Taylor Brown Campaign. 

Once Jonathan filed as the only republican in House District 44, Senator Taylor Brown had kind words to say in support of Jonathan McNiven.  He mentioned that as many may have heard already, a good friend and supporter from the Huntley community, Jonathan McNiven will be running to fill retired Bill Glaser’s seat.  Jonathan was very active in Taylor’s campaign, helping put up and take down signs, stuff mailings, walk door-to-door with Taylor, and much more.  He urged many to join with him in supporting Jonathan’s campaign.

Jonathan McNiven is married to Tana McCrite and they together have 3 young boys ages 7, 5, and 3. They reside in Huntley, MT.  Jonathan is a small business owner who develops and host websites.  He is also employed by a telecommunications company in Billings, MT.  He is also a big promoter of his parents western adventure company near Billings, MT. 

Jonathan is involved in the community where he runs a community website, on the board of directors at a county museum and also received the 2006 US Presidents Council Service Award.  Another notable achievement Jonathan has acheived growing up was reaching the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America.  Jonathan is a dependable problem solver and very involved with what’s going on. 

As Jonathan’s track record in helping other campaigns is 2 for 2, his third campaign will personally be the most important of all!  As he is a new candidate, he will need all the help and support he can get.  If you are a republican/ independent, care about your country or just want to help make a change;  please feel invited to help out the Jonathan McNiven for House District 44 Campaign.
